Welcome!
We believe that the purpose of humankind is to glorify God and enjoy fellowship with God forever. Therefore, our congregation is for those who know God and for those who do not yet know God. The Bible teaches that all have fallen short of the glory of God and that God offers forgiveness and reconciliation through His Son Jesus Christ. As a result of accepting Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, we can experience the joy that comes from following God’s plan for our lives and the peace that comes from receiving his promises. Those who come to our community often come to start or strengthen their personal relationship with God, to connect with and encourage others, and to learn about and to worship the one true God. The church is not just a place; more importantly, the church is the people who worship the one true God, have faith in His Son Jesus Christ, and live through the Holy Spirit’s power. On Sundays, our congregation has two different main services that facilitate people meeting with God.

Tokyo Shibuya Evangelical’s Morning Service
The Morning Service at 10:30 A.M. is in Japanese and is translated simultaneously into English through hand-held radios. The attendance is a mix of Japanese people and people from other nations. The message is for teaching, building, and challenging people. Those of other beliefs are always welcome. Visitors are often pleasantly surprised at how openly they are accepted. Come join us!

Tokyo Shibuya Evangelical’s Afternoon Service
The Afternoon Service at 1:00 P.M. is in Korean and is translated simultaneously into Japanese through hand-held radios. The service is predominantly attended by Koreans. However, non-Koreans and people of other beliefs are regularly welcomed. Visitors are quickly greeted with a smile, regardless of their belief or background.
