We are Tokyo Shibuya Evangelical Church—
a church that is revived, lives, and brings life to others through the gospel.

In a time when nation rises against nation, lawlessness abounds, people grow cold in love, and hatred spreads, God has planted the Church as the hope of the world. Through the Church, He has a grand plan to restore all creation. Tokyo Shibuya Evangelical Church exists to fully fulfill this divine purpose. Here in this land, we serve as the fragrance of Christ and living letters to a broken world. We carry out the role of spreading Christ’s love to our marginalized neighbors and boldly proclaiming the gospel to those around us.

This is not a Japanese church. This is not a Korean church. This is a Japan-Korea church. That’s what makes us special and precious. In Christ, the Church is called to transcend ethnicity, language, and culture, and to be united solely by the gospel. This is what sets the Church apart from any social organization in the world. At Tokyo Shibuya Evangelical Church, we strive to reflect the heart of God. Though we come from different backgrounds, we grow together in love—understanding, accepting, and embracing one another—fixing our eyes on Jesus Christ and walking together toward Him.

First, we offer weekly worship services that are full of grace and spiritual inspiration. Second, we place the highest priority on the Word of God, and we are committed to systematic Bible training through the Ginosko program. Third, we share God’s love and grace in small group gatherings, where we laugh and cry together in true fellowship. Fourth, we nurture the next generation by embracing children with love, helping them form habits of faith from a young age, and guiding them to grow into spiritually discerning believers. Fifth, we partner with the C&MAJ denomination for the expansion of God’s Kingdom, working alongside domestic and international missionaries and actively participating in both local and global missions.
