Because They Don’t Know Yet
God the promise keeper
Isaiah 7:14
I. Key Idea
Merry Christmas! It means that we should joyfully worship Christ Jesus. Among many miracles in the Bible?A Christ virgin birth is one most amazing miracle. It was prophesied 700 years before Jesus birth. On the other hand God had promised this miracle way before?A in the sense that it was already in His plan and promise.
The promise has its value only when it is meant to be kept. If not?A its useless even if it is with good intention. It could be even a lie. God is not a man?A that he should lie?A neither the son of man?A that he should repent: Hath he said?A and will he not do it? Or hath he spoken?A and will he not make it good? (Nm23:19) He keeps His promise! And the best of His promises is this. Behold?A the virgin shall be with child?A and shall bring forth a son?A And they shall call his name Immanuel; which is?A being interpreted?A God with us. (Mt 1:23) we dont have better gift for Christmas than this promise He made 2000 years ago. Another Christmas will soon be here.
On Christmas day?A parents wonder what to give to their children. But have we wondered instead what to give to Christ Jesus?A whom we should be celebrating? The magi from the east brought to him their treasures. What would you like to offer Jesus Christ?
