Because They Don’t Know Yet
The one God is concerned with. -2
Luke 8:41-48
I. Key Idea
1. The woman who had been sick for twelve years touched Jesus. Then Jesus said?A “Who touched me?” People answered?A “No?A I didn’t touch you.” Why did Jesus look for the one who touched Him? He did so to say?A “Go in peace.” to her. Why did she need peace? When Jesus was looking for the one who touched Him?A this woman appeared before Him with trembling. She did not tremble because of her act of touching Him. The fear shed had was not like the kind of fear a child has when he breaks a window glass when playing with a ball. She trembled because she could not hide herself in front of the holy One when she met Him as a sinner. It is this problem that we need an ultimate solution for. God alone is the one who can give peace.
2. There were many people around Jesus?A but there was only one person that drew His attention. He was concerned only with one person who sought Him desperately. I wish that you are those who draw His attention. How can we draw His attention? We can draw His attention when we seek Him desperately like this woman of today’s text. She sought Him desperately. In today’s words?A she prayed. How desperately do you seek God? How earnestly do you pray? “I love You?A O Lord?A my strength.” (Psalm 18:1) I encourage you to seek God desperately.
II. Small Group Discussions
1. How do you think we can maintain peace on the earth?
2. Do you think that you pray for such a long enough time per day as you think you are supposed to do so?
