Because They Don’t Know Yet
Samsons Prayer
Judges 16:20-30
Rev. Bae chansik
I.Key Idea
Samson must be one of the most famous characters in the book of Judges. It is because of his herculean power. He?A however used this God-given power for selfish purposes.
Because of his power?A old enemy Philistines wanted to demolish him so bad. They even tempted Delilah?A Samsons wife with money and through her they found out the secret of his power is in his hair. Then?A they shaved it and took him to their land. This actually made a turning point for Samson to increase his faith in God. Samson was led to repentance as he was slaved to be a grinder in prison. He eagerly prayed God to give him back the power just once more so that he could clean his name before the enemy. The Lord answered this last prayer of him and let him conquer the enemy. He eventually turned the glory to God in this way. God used Samson to defeat the old enemy of Israel.
What power do you want? If God gives you any power once more time?A what do you want to get back? You may have many desires such as to pray harder or to give tithe faithfully. I encourage you to add to them one more prayer. It is about evangelism. Let us ask God to give us earnest desire to preach the Gospel.
