Because They Don’t Know Yet
The Lord who Leads
Luke 8:41-56
I. Key Idea
As we live our lives?A there are times when we experience devastating despair. Whether it is due to health related issues?A financial difficulties?A family problems?A there are times we feel like we will never be able to solve the problem. When we face these issues?A the most important thing is whom do we seek for a help.
“My only daughter is dying. Please help.” Jairus was facing the most devastating situation in his life. Then he sought Jesus Christ and it became a blessing for him. Jesus listened to his request and Jesus headed to Jairus’ house. On the way?A a daughter died while Jesus was healing a bleeding woman. It was the moment when the hope vanished in Jairus’ life. However?A Jesus blessed Jairus saying that “Your daughter shall receive salvation.”
Through this message?A we can learn a precious lesson. Before the daughter died?A Jairus lead the way and guided Jesus to his house?A but after the moment the hope has disappeared?A Jesus lead the way walking before Jairus to guide him. This was the greatest blessing for Jairus.
Indeed?A it is the same for us as well. What’s important is who is leading our way. No one else but Jesus can lead us. Walking our lives with Jesus is the only solution to all of our problems.
II. Small Group Discussions
1. Who do you seek for help first when you face devastating problems?
2. We tend to give glory and thanks to God only when good things happen to us?A but have you gave glory and thanks to God when you were in great sorrow?
