Because They Don’t Know Yet
The Life Takes The High way to Zion
Isaiah 40:3-5
I. Key Idea:
God proclaims Israels restoration beginning with todays Scripture. John the Baptist also quoted this passage to introduce the coming Christ. What does the highway to Zion symbolize? It is considered as Jesus Himself. Johns intention of using this verse was to make people know who Jesus is and His ministry. Jesus also showed Himself as the Way. God here prophesies about the highway created as mountains and valleys are leveled by the coming Christ.
In Psalms and the book of Isaiah?A thoughts of the heart are frequently connected to the idea of “path.” These Scriptures declares that the highway to Zion is in your heart. Then you can recognize the mountains and valleys as conditions of mans heart. Jesus came to level the path. He touches the bumpy road of your heart to heal and restore. The road in your heart becomes the highway to Zion. It does not matter how the mountains and valleys are made. He is the One who knows your heart because He is the Creator. When you expose your heart before Him and get into a deeper relationship with Him?A He will deal with your heart and make the highway to Zion in your heart which is the path for a servant of God. This is Gods plan for you. May God raise valleys up and make mountains low to have the highway to Zion in you.
II. Small Group Discussions:
1.God wants to deal with you. Before using me for His Kingdom?A He wants to raise the valleys up in me. What is your valley? How was it made?
2.Have you ever experienced an old valley recovered and the highway to Zion created? Your experience makes you be able to help other people who are going through similar situations.
3.What is your calling from God regarding your neighbor and the world?
