Because They Don’t Know Yet
The 2nd Week of Advent - Jesus Christ who came as the light
Matthew 4:12-16
Ⅰ. Key Idea
It is said that there is no need of a sun in heaven because God will be the source of the light. In fact?A all the lights in this world are mere imitations of the light in heaven. The sun?A especially?A helps us to imagine the brightness of the light in heaven. The light described in the Bible is not just an expression for brightness but also the source of energy and life. God is the source of this light and He brought the light into this world with His words. Therefore?A we can understand that God has expressed Himself through the light in this world. We can go further to say that the lights that we see have come from the heaven. All darkness comes from the hell?A the place without Gods presence?A but the light comes from the heaven. Jesus came to this world in order to give us this light. Although the world seems to be shined with the sun in a physical point of view?A the light has been lost for a while in the hearts of the people who do not seek God and have gone astray. Jesus had to come to this world in the form of a human in order to remove darkness from our hearts. That is why Matthew 4:16 states?A he people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned. We can cast out darkness inside us?A which is death?A despair?A concern?A and anxiety?A if we live a life with Jesus Christ who is the true light and the Creator of the light.
