Ⅰ. Key Idea
Jesus introduces himself as a Shepard
. In the Palestinian nomadic culture?A sheep and pastor is the most vivid image that portrays relationships. Understanding the characteristics of this culture?A Jesus declares he is the pastor of the Christians. This is a declaration and a statement?A not an explanation. Jesus does not explain why He has to be our pastor but declares who He is using the analogy of A is like B. He is not a pastor who is hired by a rich farm owner but a pastor who is willing to risk His life for the safety of the sheep. Jesus gave His life for each and every one of us. We should not listen to what the world is telling us but need to march toward heaven by listening to the voice of the true pastor?A our Lord. Lord is ardently calling our names today. Let us not lose the sight of our path and listen to His voice and follow Him.
